Hey, I’m Laura — a marketer turned aspiring webmaster, living at the intersection of marketing and tech.
I’m learning how to build, manage, and grow websites from the ground up, mostly using no-code tools, with a sprinkle of code when needed. This site is my lab for all things web: from WordPress experiments to coding exercises, to random tech projects.
I’m a former content marketer shifting into tech. I really enjoy building things, solving problems, and learning by messing around and figuring it out as I go. There’s something satisfying about getting stuck, then having that little “aha!” moment when things finally click.
In my last job, I was hired as a content marketer, but I ended up doing a lot more. I maintained the company website, created pages, updated plugins, added small code tweaks, and worked with automation tools to improve workflows.
Outside of work, I’ve spent the past few years getting hands-on with my personal websites: experimenting with layouts, fixing things when they broke, and even exploring the back end through cPanel (which was equal parts confusing and rewarding). It’s been messy at times, but incredibly valuable.
These experiences helped me build confidence in my skills and nudged me to explore tech more seriously. Right now, I’m focused on growing my skills in web development and programming. If you’re curious, check out my /now page to see what I’m currently up to.
When I’m not in front of a screen, I’m probably off traveling somewhere.
